At Light for Orphans, we believe every child deserves a chance to learn and have fun. This is why we are raising funds to provide school bags and summer camps for these children.

A new school year often means new school supplies, but for many children in Upper Egypt, these supplies are hard to come by. Just $21 can provide a child with a school bag filled with everything they need for a successful school year.

Having the right supplies helps children do better in school by letting them participate fully in every lesson.
- Attendance
With everything they need, children are more likely to attend school regularly.
- Confidence
A new school bag makes children feel proud and motivated to learn, they feel also a right of having new stuff like every child, as children in these areas are used to use old stuff from their siblings.
- Less burden
Supporting the kids education path with the right tools could be less burdening for their families, who usually have an average of 4 or 5 children. Maybe it encourages parents to keep their young kids at the school
Summer Camps for $60: Fun and Learning Combined
School is important, but so are breaks filled with fun and learning. For $60, we can send a child to a 5 days summer camp where they will enjoy various activities, swim in a safe pool, eat healthy meals, and enjoy edu-tainement activities.
Camp Activities Include:

Games and activities that teach teamwork and keep kids active.

Supervised pool time where kids can enjoy and learn to swim.

Nutritious organic food to keep kids energized and happy.
- Clean beds and bathrooms
Yess ! Believe it or not it is a huge privilege for Upper Egypt kids. Most of the kids suffer from poor water and sanitation at their homes, and also suffer from the small area they are all living in as a family, they are sharing beds and usually have no privacy.
